Mr and Mrs Hizzett had a 15-year-old solid wood shaker door kitchen with a laminate work surface.
Mr and Mrs Hizzett were looking for a very modern and minimal look they required bi-folding doors on the back of the house to let more light into the room. We spoke about some form of island and a dining room table if space was available.
After visiting the customers property for a prerequisite of the style and colours they were looking for, we came back to our studio to bring it all to life on the CAD software. We selected a white J pull door for the minimal look and a 20mm thick Silestone two tone work surface (White on the island and dark on the outside). The appliances were AEG and we sourced the Bi-folding doors from a local company. The last finishing touch was the smoked mirror splash back which added extra depth to the room as it was quite narrow at one side.
We started with the building work and opened up the two existing windows to allow for the steel beam above the bi-folding doors to be fitted. Once the doors were fitted the whole room was plastered out followed by large format polished porcelain tiles. The kitchen units, work surface and appliances were then fitted and the kitchen was finally complete.
Mrs and Mrs Hizzett couldn’t believe the light and the usable space we had created. All the team were blown away with the finished project. Mr & Mrs Hizzett were delighted with their new kitchen.
