Mrs and Mrs Surplice had an out-dated kitchen in need of modernisation. They were looking at a revamp of the kitchen and potentially opening the kitchen up to create a living space with a snug at the far end.
Upon the initial site visit we looked at the internal wall which was in question whether it could be removed as it may be tying the walls together. A visit from a structural engineer confirmed our thoughts. We began to design the new kitchen leaving the wall in situ.
After building off the initial design, we created the perfect layout for the Mr and Mrs Surplice. We added a Britannia range cooker and Neff appliances. The floor stayed original as it was stone travertine which was treated to come as new.
Our team firstly made a point of protecting the existing floor so no damaged occurred. We then moved onto the removal and fitting of the new kitchen. A week into the project the kitchen was ready for the granite template, the kitchen was really taking shape. All that was left was the tiling.
On completion, York Kitchens couldn’t believe the transformation. All parties were thrilled with the outcome.
